This project features three distinct gardens, each with their own feel but harmonious through intelligent design and highly skilled landscaping. The first is the Mediterranean styled space, which encourages entertaining and gathering, contained within the structure of a long lean-to oak pergola to give it a hybrid Italianate villa-English courtyard feel; the second garden has strong geometric lines and is softened by billowing planting to give it a peaceful and private feel, the large pond also adds to this calming atmosphere; the third garden looks over the rolling fields beyond the property and thus has that English cottage garden feel, however with some modernity mixed in with paved strips through gravel. The planting here is looser, allowing for culinary sub-shrubs to grow out freely and showing off the lovely colours of the flowering plants without too much going on.
